Meet Ms. Tina

Hello friends- Welcome to my corner of the internet! I help educators just like YOU exceed your program standards through designing and creating naturally inspired learning spaces.

Do you limit the amount of plastic in your classroom and turn off half the overhead lights? Incorporating lamps, and being INTENTIONAL will result in a natural classroom setting. Stick around and I will give you actionable plans that make it as easy as 1*2*3.

🍃 I have been teaching TK, aged students, for 24+ years. Much longer than Transitional Kindergarten has actually been a “thing” in my state. I received my M.Ed from Concordia University. While raising 4 active children and working full time as the TK teacher and director of a parent cooperative program. During my time as a director/TK teacher, I realized a few things about classroom design and the correlating challenging behaviors.

Overcoming Classroom Challenges

🍃 Have you have ever felt the stress, overwhelm and lack of support needed to completely overhaul a program? Then come on in, I am so glad to meet you!

  • You know the stress of trying to do it all on a budget
  • The feelings of failure when it just isn’t going the way you pictured it in your head
  • The need to vent your frustrations to another teacher who gets IT!
  • You understand the overwhelm of trying to do it without admin or parent support
  • And most importantly you know it is the best approach for your students, but something is holding you back from making the leap…

🍃 Did you find yourself nodding yes to any and all of these statements? The my sweet friend you are in the exact right spot!

🍃 Researching and implementing nature-based design for my classrooms became a necessity back in 2005. As a result of my trials, dilemmas, and dark days, I actually found, through intentional design, the teaching spark I had lost.

🍃 Becoming a Natural Classroom Specialist, creating certified butterfly gardens and outdoor classrooms, are just a few highlights of my career. And ultimately what led me to the relaxed, engaged, intentional educator I want to help YOU become!

She smelled of sunshine and daisies and a hint of river water…

🍃 I have 4 adventurous children who give me grey hair daily and proud mama moments along the way. And a fantastic husband who fully supports my desire to inspire teachers around the world.

🍃 I am a children’s book junky and caramel coffee with almond milk lover. You will find me reading mystery novels by the river. When I am not creating my own nature-based learning materials.

I look forward to our journey together while you create the learning space of your dreams!

Hi, I'm Tina!

Nature-loving educator, early childhood mentor, and self-proclaimed creepy crawlie enthusiast.

For nearly two decades, I’ve helped early educators reimagine what’s possible inside traditional classrooms—supporting play, nature, and calm in environments that often feel anything but.

But that isn’t where my journey started…

There are a lot of programs that teach play.
Some that teach nature.
And plenty that promise to help you “hack” your schedule.

But Teach the TK Way is the only method that does all three—
with full support for traditional classrooms, district expectations, shared spaces, and real-life teachers.

Here, you don’t have to choose between worksheets and wonder.
You don’t have to burn out trying to fit someone else’s vision.

We work with what you have—and grow something beautiful from there.
